Do I need any special wiring for the WindowCandles system?

Yes. Since there are thousands of different types of electrical wires, not any wire will do. We use a UL-approved 18/2 stranding wire for our system. This is the same type of wire used for alarm systems, fire alarm systems, and audio systems. To make sure the wire meets all local and state codes we manufacture this wire and recommend it for the installation of our system.
